Over 50s Art Club

Get creative with your community

A friendly group of older people meets here for Art Club every Tuesday from 2–4pm and new participants are warmly welcomed. Members can bring along anything creative they would like to work on including painting, knitting, embroidery or mosaics. Refreshments and materials are provided.

To date, these have been participant-led sessions but thanks to funding from Age UK Bristol, there will now be one facilitated session per month, on the last Tuesday of the month. This will focus on a particular technique such as life drawing, printmaking, collage, watercolour or acrylics.

For more information or to book email office@stwerburghs.org.uk or call 0117 955 1351.

Why you should get involved

We are thrilled to have secured funding from Age UK Bristol to continue the Over 50s Art Club. Their generous support has enabled us to extend and develop this creative community project. There will now be a monthly artist-led session when members will have the opportunity to learn or brush up on a particular technique.

Let us know if there is a new technique that you’ve always wanted to learn and we will see if we can arrange it!

“We are an over 50’s art group that revived the art group. St Werburghs Community Centre gave us a space to continue. We are just beginning to rebuild the group with a range of people who just want to come out of the confines of home, meet up with other people and do something artistic that they have not done before.” Dennison, Art Club participant.
