Is your child ready to embark on a journey into the realm of wonder and fantasy? Dive into the enchanting world of Grimm’s fairytales with our captivating Children’s Drama Workshop! Unleash your child’s creativity as they step into the stories of beloved fairytale characters from girls with red apples to big bad wolves!. Throughout the 3 days, the group will create their own fairytale through drama games, role-playing and storytelling, guided by the expertise of Bristol Academy of Drama staff. They will develop characters, learn stagecraft skills, devise scenes to build their play for a performance on the final afternoon for family to enjoy. This process is designed to develop creative thinking, drama and improvisation skills and build confidence and teamwork.
Students can let their imagination run wild as they decide who, of the famous fairytale characters, will join them in the world of their play. Will Hansel and Gretel every be full from eating the gingerbread house, will Cinderella decide the Prince is actually not very Charming at all or will Red Riding Hood stumble on the cottage of the 3 Bears in search of her grandma’s cottage? So many new stories to create with these beloved characters, and there is no limit to what can be achieved; who knows what strange and wonderful story lines and characters that can be created and what worlds their audiences will be transported to.
Not only will they receive guidance and help from Bristol Academy of Drama’s Facilitators but they will be given props and costumes to help create the world of their play.
