Sexual Harassment Prevention
We challenge all forms of sexual harassment and seek to ensure that the working environment is safe and supportive to all those who work for us. This includes employees, workers, agency workers, volunteers and contractors in all areas of our Organisation.
Sexual Harassment is the unwanted behaviour of a sexual nature which has the purpose or effect of:
- violating someone’s dignity, whether intended or not.
- creating an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating or offensive environment for them, whether intended or not.
Verbal conduct: includes sexual comments or jokes, intrusive questions about a person’s private or sex life |
Non-verbal conduct: includes displaying sexually graphic pictures, posters or photos, sexual gestures |
Online conduct: includes sexual posts, sending sexually explicit emails, texts or messages via other social media |
Physical conduct: includes unwelcome touching, hugging, or kissing, invasion of personal space and assault |
St Werburghs Community Association has a zero-tolerance approach to any form of sexual harassment.
Sexual harassment of our staff is not acceptable.
