Have you seen our Community Table?

Have you been to the Community Centre recently?

If so, you might have noticed we underwent a lot of physical changes over the Summer. Coffee Club were very been busy getting their own stamp on the café, which opened on Monday 30th September to welcome costumers and centre visitors. .

We also moved some things around, with the support of Morrisons Foundation, to be able to offer a more accessible and flexible reception area. This has allowed us to create a Community Table, a free hireable space for small community groups and gatherings!

How does it work? The Community Table can host up to 7 people comfortably and is free for people to book. This guarantees the group a place to seat even if the coffee shop is busy. Although we encourage everyone to eat and drink the delicious menu at Coffee Club, there is no need to purchase anything to use the table.

Since it was set up our Community Table has been booked for:

  • Mama Yoga after class coffee following Yoga with Carolyn‘s Class on Tuesdays
  •  Eleni Morus, Campaigns Coordinator from North Bristol & South Glos Foodbank, come and chat about how you can get involved in food justice
  • FAB LGBT+ Café run by Age UK Bristol on Thursday mornings
  • My Community walking “What’s On” drop-in
  • Seetec Plus – Support seeking employment

As part of our Community Table, we are starting a Knit & Natter session. All ages, all genders, all abilities, all crafts. We will have a few materials if you are completely new to the art of yarn.

You can get a hot drink or food from Coffee Club if you want to, but you don’t need to purchase anything to participate.

**Starting Monday 7th October, 11am – 12.30pm at our Community Table**

No need to book, for more info call 0117 955 1351 or reply to this email.
